In MOD 2 of our unit on U.S. Westward Expansion, students were introduced to General Andrew Jackson. Jackson was played an important role in the U.S.'s acquisition of Florida. A few years later Jackson became the 7th President of the U.S., and today, we can find him on the $20 bill. Today, we will start by reviewing MOD 2 on the Adma's Onis Treaty, which allowed the U.S. to purchase Florida from Spain. Then, we will move on to MOD 3, where students will develop a more complete understanding of Jackson's Presidential policies on Native Americans.
Go to Tree Of Ed's unit on U.S. Westward Expansion and open MOD 2 to prepare for our review.
